Artists' Book Elective
Stage 2 Painting students are given the opportunity to elect to develop their ideas through artists' books in 2nd semester.
Projects are set to stimulate differing approaches to the artists' book and the elective culminates in a collaborative project with printmaking elective students. This project demands that the students work in pairs to produce a printed book or folio of prints.
This grounding allows students to gain skills and ways of thinking about how books can be useful within their practice and which they can go on to employ during the rest of their studies.
