A collaborative project initiated to encourage the development of cross discipline activity in ideas and techniques between Stage 3 students studying Painting in the School of Art and Printed Textiles in the School of Design.
Students were each asked to make collections of any kind of printed
ephemera which was of interest to them and through discussion pairings were
made so that each Painting student would be working with a Textiles student.
Students were then asked to explore their ideas from their differing perspectives with the ultimate goal of producing a printed book. Workshops enabled students to learn techniques taught across each of the departments allowing them to achieve their aims.
